Thanks to the new breakthroughs in sequencing technology, the throughput has been increasing and the cost has been decreasing in a dramatic speed since 2006 International Conference on Genomics (ICG I) when the prediction about it was made. How close are we to the personalized medicine era? Will all the species, with scientific, economic and ecologic significance, on earth be sequenced sometime soon? Besides scientific presentations that emphasize new discoveries in genomics research, experts from many various fields will get together to address such questions in 2009 International Conference on Genomics (ICG IV). The conference will be held in Shenzhen, China from November 2 to 5, 2009. More than 200 attendees including leading scientists, governmental officials, and entrepreneurs will promote collaboration among different fields and discuss the recent progresses in genomics and the future of man. We look forward to welcoming you to the 2009 ICG (ICG IV) in China!
